American reporter and White House Correspondent Sam Donaldson from ABC News had a run-in with a cop after failing to maintain his lane when driving his car in Delaware.

He is scheduled for an arraignment Friday, December 21.
The respected ABS news anchor once proclaimed to the Academy Of Achievement about the importance of discipline in life.
“Now, discipline doesn’t mean that you’re a martinet, and discipline doesn’t mean that you have to do everything anyone in authority tells you in lock-step because you can’t think for yourself. But discipline means that you’ve got to organize your life in everything you do, for your own benefit and for the benefit of people around. If the appointment is at four o’clock, you ought to show up at four o’clock. If you’re unavoidably late a few minutes, okay. But the person who shows up at five o’clock or six o’clock and doesn’t think anything of it, that person is an undisciplined person,” he said.
Sam is presently living in McLean, Va. The former White House correspondent has formally abdicated from his position as a regular anchor on ABC News, but still appears on the news programs of the network as a contributor.

While December is the season of engagements for celebrities like Kelly Clarkson and Kat Von D, and blossoming romance for Katy Perry, it's not so lovely for the charming Zooey Deschanel.
Her divorce from husband rocker Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie after roughly three years of marriage has been finalized by a judge on Wednesday. The court states “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the couple's separation.
The ex-couple were married in September 2009 and had no children. Deschanel, who also sings in the indie folk duo She & Him filed for divorce last December 2011 after they separated two months earlier. They've kept mum on their relationship that many people didn't even know she got married in the first place.
American actress Katie Holmes and American film actor and producer Tom Cruise are spending their first divorced-parent Christmas season with their daughter, Suri. Of course a bit of lavish spending is on the program. According to Daily Mail, a Victorian playhouse that costs $24,000 which is big enough to use as mini-home is reportedly high on Katie’s to-buy list.

Other features include play lofts, sunrooms, media rooms, eat-in kitchens, dining rooms, intercoms connected to the main home, garages to store kids' riding toys, picket fences, arbours, extensive landscaping, and more. Reports say that it will put up in the yard of the family home.
Further gifts on Suri's Christmas list include an iPad mini and a small child-version Mercedes-Benz of her own costing around $9000, plus additions to her designer closet. No problem with the mini-car, since the house has a place for garage. But Suri is not likely to open those presents from her mom on Christmas morning, because she will be spending Christmas with her dad and half-siblings in Los Angeles.
Discovery Channel confirmed that it has decided to pull the plug on its popular reality series American Guns, a show about a Colorado family in the business of making guns. Normally, this news wouldn’t be getting as much attention as it is now if not for two things: the relevance of the show’s theme with that of the recent shooting in Connecticut, and the fact that it was canceled despite reports that its ratings actually increased by 50 percent on its second season premiere.
Discovery sources say that the decision to cut off the show was quietly made prior to the statement released on Monday. “American Guns concluded this year,” a spokesperson said. “Discovery Channel chose not to renew the series and has no plans to air repeats of the show.”
No official statement was given concerning the reason behind the cancellation although many believe that the Connecticut tragedy may have indeed played at least some part in the decision.
The show is just one of several in the entertainment industry that was affected by the unfortunate shooting incident: on Monday, ABC’s mid-season finale for Scandal was temporarily pulled from ABC.com, the gala premiere to Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained on Tuesday was canceled, and also Tom Cruise’s premiere for his movie Jack Reacher was delayed until Wednesday.
Former NFL wide receiver Hines Ward encounters paternity issues as a woman from Georgia claims that he fathered her child. TMZ reports that a woman who introduced herself as Melanie Smith wants Hines to concede that he is the biological father of her 1-year-old daughter.
Hines has denied the charges, which prompted Smith to file a lawsuit this month in her hometown. More details about Melanie’s claim revealed that she wanted the 36-year-old football star to assume his obligations to his daughter. Also, Melanie wants Ward to dish out the necessary cash for child support and admit that he is indeed the real father of the child by taking a DNA blood test.
The football star player who already has one other child, Jaden, with his ex-wife Simone.
There has been no announcement yet whether there is an order by a judge for the paternity testing or if there has been any ruling on the lawsuit. One thing for sure is that the abandoned mother wants some recognition for her daughter from Hines and financial help for the expenses incurred in bringing up the little girl.
Hines’ camp has also been silent on the controversy and has yet to release a statement about the case.
