In Virginia, the fight for marriage equality surges on despite being put on hold by the Supreme Court, while Ken Ham’s Ark Encounter continues to aim for a share of taxpayer dollars. These are this week’s headlines brought to you by hosts John Snider and David Driscoll in their no-nonsense humanist podcast American Freethought.

David also touches on Tim’s Vermeer, a documentary starring Tim Jenison, Penn Jillette, and Colin Blakemore, which focuses on the photorealistic painter Johannes Vermeer.

He also goes to church.

In the first 2 minutes of the AM podcast I already found the hosts to be pleasant and engaging to listen to, minus the annoying fanfare that accompanies some podcast shows. Their discussions are also intelligent yet lighthearted, so if you enjoy listening to freethinking podcasts that don’t employ vehemence nor vitriol, then I highly recommend this.
