PlayStation Vita Update 3.30 Now Allows Adding Themes

Earlier, PlayStation Vita promised to add themes on their latest firmware update during its pre-Tokyo Game Show presentation. You can now download the latest 3.30 firmware update that would support customizing themes.

Themes can also be available for purchase from the PlayStation Network but they will look more generic. With a handful of colorful additions, the themes will also be patterned after hit games. Sony hasn't revealed the price yet for downloadable themes, and they might follow the same pricing with the PS3 themes that fall somewhere between $1 to $3 each.

There are also non-game themes for PlayStation Vita that would include Crystal, Four Seasons, and Stitching that will be released now.

In addition to the added themes there are also other things that were added you can check on the full patch notes below, as revealed by Gematsu:

· [Theme & Background] has been added to [Settings]. You can download your favorite themes and customize the PS Vita/PS TV.
· You can now check the rarity of trophies.
· You can now attach and send events created in [Calendar] to [Messages] and [Email]. Recipients can save those events in their own calendars.
· You can now add Friends and other players to events created in [Calendar].
· The name of the VTE-1000 series has been changed to “PlayStation TV”.
· A maximum of 4 wireless controllers can be connected to the PS TV. The number of players depends on the game or application.
