“You can guarantee that as an adult, if someone were to tell you to say thank you, you would be defensive because you don’t want to be told what to do. Invite your child to join you in showing appreciation. Don’t just tell them.”

Encouragement is key, as Carol Tuttle demonstrates in this episode of her parenting podcast, The Child Whisperer.

Here you’ll find tips on helping your child realize and demonstrate real gratitude for the good they have and receive. Also in this episode: misunderstanding between parents and teens, sibling, squabbles, bedwetting, homework woes, and more.

This is another of those sites and podcasts that I regularly follow because Carol Tuttle is a goldmine of solid parenting advice. Sometimes there are minor sound issues with the show, in that it can either sound a little scratchy or muffled. But the discussions themselves are substantial and realistic, and I highly recommend this podcast to all parents who wish to find more ways to enrich their relationship with their children.
