The cancellation of the previous gen console versions "has allowed the team to deliver stunning vistas and effects that will challenge your expectations of what the Wasteland might look like."

The game's September release follows the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road film that will be launched in theaters on the 15th of May. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic scenario that focuses on on-foot action and vehicular combat. Those who have pre-ordered the game will get a Magnus Opus car body named The Ripper that comes in with a mighty V8 engine, and off-road tires with a ramming grill for epic road battles.
